In a fitting end to a season that has been nothing less than dazzling, Team Babbitt’s finished the 2010 AMA Arenacross series holding the top three spots overall. Josh Demuth took the championship, with Chad Johnson in second place and Tyler Bowers in third. Babbitt’s riders have held the series’ overall top three throughout the season, and with only one exception, have won every race. In all, the team racked up 42 podiums on Maxxcross tires, and swept the podium six times.
The team went out on a high note at the final round, held March 26-27 in Denver, Colorado. Demuth took his sixth victory of the year on Friday, with Johnson in fourth. The next night, Johnson gained the lead midway through the race to take the win, with Demuth joining him on the podium in third. Bowers, who won a total of nine races for the season, was sidelined for the last round with a broken femur.
Commenting on the phenomenal year, team manager Denny Bartz praised Maxxis’ consistent support throughout the season. “Maxxis has been one of the most important contributing factors to Team Babbitt’s success this year. Thanks to everyone at Maxxis for their support on and off the track,” he said.
Maxxis congratulates Josh Demuth on his victory and thanks Demuth, Tyler Bowers and Chad Johnson for a truly outstanding season of racing.
